What We Do and Why It Matters
The NeXintel Lab is where NexVision puts its own platform to the test. Our analyst team runs real investigation scenarios through the full platform ecosystem, in a controlled internal environment that mirrors the conditions our clients work in every day.
The goal is simple: refine how investigations actually work. We validate what the platform can do under real analytical conditions and find the gaps and friction points that only show up when you are actually using the tools day to day.
Sitting at the intersection of intelligence practice and platform development, the Lab produces tangible outputs: playbooks, case narratives, reporting templates, and product improvement observations that directly feed back into how the platform evolves.
Think of it as an operational feedback loop. We use the platform, we find what works and what does not, and we make it better for every analyst who relies on it.
Six Investigation Areas
We Work Across
Every Lab scenario is rooted in at least one of these six investigation areas. They reflect the real-world use cases our clients bring to us every day.
We investigate digital identities and online personas, tracing alias networks and behavioural patterns across the surface, deep and dark web.
We trace beneficial ownership, map shell company structures, investigate supply chain fraud and analyse corporate networks using open-source registries and data sources.
We follow the money. Blockchain tracing, wallet cluster analysis, dark market fund-flow mapping and sanctions screening across more than 13 chains.
We monitor TOR forums, paste sites and dark marketplaces for mentions, credential dumps and threat actor activity, building operational intelligence from what we find.
We investigate domains and IPs, map passive DNS history, analyse SSL certificate transparency logs, enumerate subdomains and fingerprint infrastructure.
We run KYC and KYB investigations, AML compliance exercises and sanctions screening across OFAC, EU, UN and Interpol lists, along with broader regulatory due diligence scenarios.
What the Lab Actually Produces
Every completed Lab cycle produces concrete deliverables. These are not internal documents that sit on a shelf. They feed directly into how the platform develops, how analysts work and how we serve our clients.
A full written account of each investigation we run, covering the analytical process, key findings, pivots taken and conclusions reached in a structured and reproducible format.
Step-by-step workflow guides we extract from completed scenarios. Useful for onboarding new analysts, training on the platform or keeping as a reference during live investigations.
Standardised reporting structures that come directly from our Lab work. They help analyst teams produce consistent, professional outputs whether the audience is internal or client-facing.
Demonstration scenarios and enablement materials we build for client engagement, platform showcases and sales support. Everything is grounded in authentic investigative practice, not fiction.
Finished intelligence products that emerge naturally from our investigations. They cover threat actor activity, technical indicators and operational trends relevant to our clients and the broader landscape.
Evidence-based observations on usability, workflow friction and feature gaps that we capture during every investigation. They go straight to product and engineering in a format built for action, not filing away.
How Each Investigation
Cycle Works
Every investigation in the Lab follows the same five-stage cycle, from initial design all the way through to feedback and iteration. The loop keeps running.
We start by designing a scenario around a real-world use case. Before anything begins, we set clear objectives, define the scope and agree on what success looks like.
Analysts run the scenario through OSINT360 and the NexVision Engine in exactly the way a real client engagement would demand, no shortcuts taken.
As the investigation runs, analysts record friction points, workarounds needed and gaps in the tooling using our standardised observation framework.
Once the scenario is complete we produce the outputs: a case narrative, a playbook draft, product observations and, where the investigation warrants it, a threat intelligence brief.
Observations go to the product team, playbooks get refined and the next scenario begins, a little more evolved than the last. The platform gets better with every cycle.
How We Keep Standards High
The Lab's outputs have a real downstream impact on customers, analysts and the platform itself. Without a governance framework, quality becomes inconsistent. With it, every deliverable meets the same standard regardless of who produced it or when.
When our analysts spot something worth fixing, it does not disappear into an inbox. There is a defined pathway that takes structured, evidence-based observations directly to our product and engineering teams in a format they can act on immediately.
Demo assets and enablement materials are kept current and accurate as the platform evolves. When customers engage with these materials, they are seeing something built on real analyst experience, not a polished marketing approximation.
Governance is not about bureaucracy. It is about building a culture where continuous improvement is the default, not the exception. Operational excellence is not something you hit once and celebrate. It is a standard you maintain through discipline and repetition.
Who Benefits from the Lab
The Lab exists inside NexVision, but what it produces reaches well beyond our own teams. Here is who gains from the work we do.
NexVision Analyst Teams
Our analysts are the primary users of the Lab. They run investigations, spot what works and what does not, and feed those observations back into how the platform and our workflows evolve.
Product and Engineering Teams
Product and engineering teams receive structured, evidence-based observations straight from Lab operations. It closes the gap between what analysts experience in the field and what the platform actually delivers.
NexVision Platform Customers
Customers benefit from the playbooks, workflow guides and reporting templates the Lab produces. These are practical materials built from real investigative practice that help teams get value from the platform faster.
Government and Law Enforcement
Government agencies and law enforcement teams access threat intelligence briefs and case narratives relevant to their work in counter-fraud, financial crime and digital threat operations. The outputs are grounded in real OSINT tradecraft, not theoretical examples.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the NeXintel Lab?
The NeXintel Lab is where NexVision runs its own platform through real investigation scenarios in a controlled internal environment. Our analyst team works across structured, real-world cases and produces playbooks, case narratives, product improvement observations and threat intelligence outputs that go directly into how the platform develops and how analysts are enabled to use it.
Which platforms does the Lab exercise?
The Lab works across the full NexVision platform ecosystem, with the most focus on OSINT360 and the NexVision Engine. Each scenario is built to test platform capabilities across our six investigation domains and produce outputs that are genuinely useful in real analyst workflows.
How do Lab outputs reach product teams?
When analysts identify something worth improving, it follows a structured intake pathway directly to NexVision's product and engineering teams. Observations are categorised by workflow impact and written up in a format that is actionable, not just anecdotal. That pathway is a core part of how the Lab operates.
Are Lab playbooks available to NexVision customers?
Yes. Selected Lab outputs, including workflow playbooks and enablement materials, are made available to NexVision customers. Everything is produced with customer engagement in mind and governed to accurately reflect real platform capability. Reach out to your NexVision representative to find out what is available to you.
How does the Lab maintain quality and consistency?
The Lab operates under a formal NexVision internal governance framework that covers all investigations, outputs and product observations. It sets quality standards, defines review cycles and establishes how observations are handled and formatted. Every deliverable from the Lab is held to the same standard we apply to our client-facing work.
Can external parties engage with the Lab?
The Lab is internal to NexVision, but we are open to conversations with platform customers, research collaborators and investigative professionals who are interested in our outputs or how we work. All enquiries are treated in confidence. Get in touch via the contact section below and someone from the Lab team will come back to you within 48 hours.
